War, War is Stupid
...and Bush, Bush is stupid.
His "speech" was just bullshit
And more folks know it.
I don't often get political here; hey, you want to enjoy yourself.
But now that a majority of congressmen - even dumbass Republicans - know what lefties like me and millions more knew years ago, things are more serious.
312 members of Congress who oppose President Bush's disastrous plan to escalate the war in Iraq. Fewer than half that number, only 145, have offered their support. Likewise, according to a recent Gallup poll, 61% of Americans oppose escalation and only 36% support it.
Not only do a majority of members of Congress oppose President Bush's disastrous escalation plan - they're standing up to this President. In his official response to the State of the Union, Senator Jim Webb gave an impassioned speech decrying the President's failed Iraq strategy. Leaders from both parties have introduced multiple bills in Congress rebuking escalation, including the bipartisan Biden-Hagel-Levin resolution which passed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee yesterday. With continued support and prodding, our elected officials will turn their strong words into legislative action against escalation.
Escalation will hurt, not enhance, our national security. An overwhelming majority of the American public and their representatives in Congress have made their opposition clear. Unfortunately, President Bush stubbornly refuses to listen.
Chimpoleon is an evil idiot steered by a more evil cabal of war mongerers. Duh.
His bullshit "escalation," "surge," "augmentation" (lying bitch Condi Rice's words) is just more lies.
The Iraq occupation is a mess, and more people now realize it. Chimpy's swill ignored New Orleans, Louisiana, his crap threats against gay marriage, and blathered on about a "baby Einstein" (What the fuck was that bullshit about?), and a bunch of expensive healthcare lies bent on forcing middle income Americans to foot the bill.
He must be told to shut the fuck up.
Attend a peace march this weekend in your area!
Soldiers are cute, but peaceniks are cute, too!
and wouldn't it be better to have them home, where you can enjoy them?
United for Peace and Justice is just one of dozens of groups organizing marches and protests.

Ha. Funny. I knew this post would bring out the nutbags.
A closet case rightwinger perusing porn blogs tells me what I should do. Love it.
And how many bumper sticker magnets have you bought, closet case?
What exactly is the purpose of the Iraq occupation?
Please explain.
Why don't you ask Halliburton, who have enjoyed a 3000% profit increase?
Why don't you ask Bechtel, Boeing and other huge contributors to Bush's election campaigns, who enjoy billions in contracts for a failing "war?"
Nope, you can't ask that.
You just prowl porn blogs when you're not deluding yourself into thinking that killing 40,000 Iraqis and 3,000+ dead soldiers is keeping you safe from the mass invading hordes of Iraqi terrorists invading our shores.
How many Iraqis attacked us on 9/11?
Zero.
They were Egyptians and Saudis.
But wait! Bushco approved a deal allowing Saudi Arabians to run our ports!
Yes, you might think yourself "capable" of discussing "military engagements," but you probably still think we won the Vietnam War.
It's been proven that this occupation has only revved up even more terrorists than ever before.
There is more violence around the world now, and the US is at more of a threat from terrorists than ever before.
Every Iraqi child whose parents were slaughtered by the "coalition of the willing" - oops, now it's just the U.S., some "coalition" - is going to grow up hating the U.S. Bush's ill-conceived invasion/occupation is breeding terrorists.
Delusional reichwing dittoheads really love to sling the shit, but can't take an ounce of criticism, including your dimwit illiterate fuckhead Bush.
And another thing:
Bush's bin Laden link thwarted FBI
A BBC programme aired on Tuesday made a startling revelation that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents probing relatives of the Saudi-born terrorist Osama bin Laden were told to go slow soon after George W Bush became the president of the United States.
The BBC's Newsnight said Bush at one point had a number of connections with Saudi Arabia's prominent bin Laden family.
The programme hinted that US interests in the huge Saudi oil reserves blunted the probe into the terrorist connections of several individuals.
Newsnight quoting from several purportedly secret documents said the FBI probe into the September 11 terror attacks unearthed terrorist links of at least two member of the bin Laden family.
The programme said it had obtained evidence that the FBI was on the trail of bin Laden family members living in United States before, as well as after, the terrorist attacks.
Newsnight said Bush made his first million 20 years ago with an oil company partly funded by the chief US representative of Salem Bin Laden, Osama's brother.

And another thing:
NEW YORK - Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman reported sharp increases in fourth-quarter profit yesterday and raised full-year forecasts, as two of the world's largest defence contractors capitalised on the continuing boom in US military spending.
Lockheed's profit easily beat Wall Street's forecast, helping its shares rise slightly, almost hitting a record.
Northrop narrowly missed analysts' average forecast due to a charge on a radar programme, sending its shares down modestly after notching an all-time high earlier this week.
The companies, with rivals Boeing, General Dynamics and Raytheon, are taking advantage of record US defence spending and more outsourcing of Government technology projects.
Richard Aboulafia, aerospace analyst at Teal Group, said: "If you get the kind of supplementals we've been getting, then that's a lot of money," referring to the billions of dollars being used to pay for operations in Iraq on top of the regular defence budget.
Standard & Poor's Aerospace and Defence index is up about 29 per cent over the past 12 months.

And another thing:
What AlQueda really wants US to do
According to the internal communications, al-Qaeda's real wish is for the United States to stay bogged down in Iraq, so the terrorist group can continue recruiting and training young jihadists while buying time to overcome the hostility of Iraqis toward outsiders.
In another captured letter, dated Dec. 11, 2005, "Atiyah," a top aide to Osama bin Laden, described the work that must be done to overcome the many obstacles facing al-Qaeda in Iraq. Atiyah then added, "Prolonging the war is in our interest." [See Consortiumnews.com's "Al-Qaeda's Fragile Foothold."]
So, if the Bush administration truly based its decisions on doing the opposite of what al-Qaeda wanted, it would immediately withdraw U.S. forces from Iraq and let al-Qaeda in Iraq either disintegrate or get decimated by angry Iraqis who would no longer find al-Qaeda's anti-American brutality particularly useful.
But Bush and fellow hard-liners, like Liz Cheney, are selective in deciding when Americans should heed the words of al-Qaeda and do the opposite, i.e. only when that matches what the administration wants to do in the first place.
That selectivity was demonstrated again after Bush announced his decision to escalate U.S. troop levels by more than 20,000 soldiers. Zawahiri issued a public statement offering mocking praise for Bush's decision and urging him to expand the U.S. commitment even more.
"I ask him, why send 20,000 only - why not send 50,000 or 100,000?" Zawahiri said. "Send your entire army to be annihilated at the hands of the holy warriors to free the world from your evil." [AP, Jan. 22, 2007]

"the FIRST people they'll go after are gay pornographers like YOU."
Actually, the forces Bushco installed in Iraq are killing gays THERE.
You like that? Then what the fuck are you doing trolling gay porn blogs, dipshit?
Oh, and another thing:
US Intel: Iraq occupation aids Al Qaeda
Reality intrudes again. President Bush and his allies keep insisting that the invasion of Iraq was essential to winning the fight against anti-American Islamic jihadists. The government's top experts on terrorism and Islamic extremism disagree. As The New York Times reported on Sunday, a National Intelligence Estimate produced earlier this year noted that the Iraq war has fueled Islamic radicalism around the globe and has caused the terrorist threat to grow. In other words, Bush's invasion of Iraq has been counterproductive. Or put this way: the ugly war in Iraq that has claimed the lives of thousands of American troops and tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians has placed the United States more at risk.
Times reporter Mark Mazzetti noted in his front-page article that he had spoken to "more than a dozen" U.S. government officials and outside experts who had either seen the NIE or who had participated in its creation. That's a lot of footwork. But he did not quote from the document itself, except to note that the NIE describes a radical Islamic movement of "self-generating" cells. (An NIE is the intelligence community's most definitive assessment of a major strategic issue and is supposed to represent the consensus view of the government's various intelligence agencies. This particular NIE is the first evaluation of global terrorism since the invasion of Iraq.)

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 412899 responses
Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
87%
No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
4.5%
No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

I don't know.
